Commission Pricing (for artists and consumers)
There’s a surprising number of people who I see posting polls and journals asking ‘what should I charge for commissions/my art?’
Every single time I see this, and the consumer responses I physically cringe. 9 times out of 10 the consumers are telling the artist $10-$20 max. Period. That’s it. A lot of these artists are trying to balance prices for consumers with the quality of their art and how much they can make to supplement their income. What do I mean?
I mean that a severely large number of artists are selling themselves short and cheating themselves, as well as the rest of us, by setting their pricing standard
Hi my name is Erin (Lady) I am a digital media artist is happy to meet others. I am a young blooming visual artist although i often find myself with a case of artist block XP. I grew up watching my mother drawing and i remember loving how she could turn something simple into something elegant and beautiful. I truly didn't start to draw until 8th grade I am still a novice and most of my art looks weird but I give it my all.
I haven't added anything because my mom just passed about six months ago and I have been very depressed I also don't know how to work my scanner. I will find a way to do more so hold on all my friends.
